Our Purpose
Sorella Luna Italian Ceramics and Fine Arts offers masterpieces from Italy’s most renowned regions for ceramics. We specialize in hand-crafted works using ancient designs that have been perfected for centuries.
Our classic designs and one-of-a-kind pieces are crafted in Italy and brought here for you. Our artistic creations are imbued with the history of Italy and will be treasured for generations.
Who We Are
In 2007, Giovanni Angello and Laura Balla started AngelloBalla Ceramics in Assisi, Perugia, Italy. Their showroom resided on the main entrance of the “new” community of Assisi built in the 12 century AD. During the global recession of 2009, Giovanni and sister Mary Johnson decided to buy out AngelloBalla and move most of the inventory to Portland, Oregon to form Sorella Luna Italian Ceramics and Fine Arts. In September 2009, Sorella Luna opened their gallery in the Pearl District of Portland. For three years, they expanded their product inventory and outgrew their space in 2013 to become a web business.Â
Since then, Sorella Luna has expanded their product line by offering almost 1500 items. Sorella Luna also has notable success and experience in creating custom products for our clients. Besides offering only the finest Italian Ceramics, we have recently added volcanic rock and tile tables to our selection.
